Families in the Down syndrome community are resourceful and resilient. But even the most dedicated families can’t do it alone, and they shouldn’t have to.

Across education, healthcare, employment, and social inclusion, gaps exist. Some services are underfunded. Others are inconsistent, inaccessible, or end abruptly at key life transitions. The gaps aren’t always visible from the outside, but their impact is felt every day.

The Down Syndrome Association of Maryland exists to fill the gaps.

We provide consistent programs families can rely on, inclusive spaces where individuals with Down syndrome can build skills and relationships, and trusted resource guidance and introductions that span from childhood to adulthood. DSAmd shows up where systems fall short and stays when others move on.

This work is only possible because of donors who believe an individual with Down syndrome thriving should not depend on their zip code, income level, or popularity.
